Businesses are restricting the number of people who can be in their places of business to six feet apart, as they wait their turn. Menards in Wisconsin, have displayed a sign prohibiting under-16s from entering. In an attempt to be safe Menards will scan id for those who look under sixteen.

Temperatures are also checked before customers and employees enter the store.  A spokesperson confirmed.. “We absolutely love families, but need to lessen the number of people shopping in our stores, and I think it goes without saying that children need to be protected from people.”

However some single parents are finding it difficult to follow these strict regulations.

Forty One year old, MaryAnn Fausey Resendez, a single mother from Texas was concerned about how she and her 5-year-old daughter would be treated at a grocery store.

She knew that people would speak out against her even with her young daughter there. MaryAnn took preventative actions into her own hands to protect her kid from any hurtful or harmful comments.

The mother attached a handmade sign to the back of her daughter’s shirt. The message on the sign is:

“I am only five. I can’t stay home alone so I have to buy groceries with mommy. Before you start judging, stay back six feet.”

The mother loaded her daughter into the shopping cart while preparing for the punishment that would come her way. She wrote on her Facebook:, “The sign I made her wear cuz I just know some dumba** will take a picture & talk s**t on social media not knowing all the facts.”
