Walter Merrick is 9 years old and has never been able to meet his twin brother, but that has never stopped him from telling him everything.

Sadly, Walter’s twins died in utero from a rare disease called TTS, which affects the placenta. After his death, the family continued to visit his grave regularly.
Five years ago, Walter’s mother Brooke took a photo of her son sitting at his brother’s grave and telling him what he had been doing that day. She says that when the car stopped, Walter ran alone to have a moment when he and his brother were alone: “He feels that his brother is watching over him, he always felt that.”
The whole family visits Willis’ grave, but this day seems special: “It gave me a sense of peace to see how strong his bond with his brother was.”
He looked at Walter at his brother’s grave and finally made Brooke cry. “Of course that makes me sad.” I knew he would always make me sad if I knew he was dead. †
Brooke also says that the family brings small toys to his grave. Although Walter never met Willis, Walter will always have a strong relationship with him.
Here’s a clip of Walter saying he still feels like his brother is watching him:
