Breastfeeding a baby is an excellent way for a mother to bond with her baby. However, there has always been a debate about when a baby should be weaned from breast milk.

This mother of two feels that a young man should make the decision to quit smoking.

Cheryl Wayne, a resident of West Yorkshire, is an advocate for breastfeeding children after a socially appropriate age. She still breastfeeds her two school-aged children.

The 39-year-old mother made the decision after consulting with her children about when to stop using breast milk.

She planned to stop breastfeeding her oldest son, Riley, when he was three years old. Riley wanted to breastfeed until he was 11 when she told him about her plans and asked his opinion.

She originally refused, telling the toddler that “there is no way”.

Wayne had no choice now. She claims it is a technique to calm her children, who come to her first when they are grieving.

She believes it is perfectly normal to breastfeed her children even though they are 5 and 6 years old and past the baby stage. She believes the act has brought her closer to her children.

“Even if they’re not breastfeeding, they want to be with me and show solidarity with me,” she said.

Wayne said that online strangers welcomed her more to breastfeed her children than her family. Relatives and acquaintances reported that their sons were behaving strangely at the time.

Wayne replied, “People think they are experts at other people’s children, but I don’t do it blindly, although I follow my instinct in many ways.”

She also admits that she sometimes asks her children to “come down” when she doesn’t feel like feeding them. However, when making a decision, she always considers her feelings and thoughts.

She claims to have breastfed her children in public several times. Breastfeed her in public places such as schoolyards. She admitted she was afraid of these situations, but didn’t want her children to feel the same, so she dived into overcoming her fears.

Because of her bad experience giving birth to her eldest son, Riley, she insisted on breastfeeding her two sons. She felt guilty for not being able to feed him properly. When Riley’s younger brother Milo was born, she decided to breastfeed Riley again.

Wynne is now trying to create a new trend where women should be able to set their own schedules for weaning their babies. This makes them feel more connected to their children.

People tried to take Wynne down several times, but she was undeterred. She is determined to create her own schedule with input from her children.

What do you think of Wayne’s decision to breastfeed her children until they are ten?
