Animal shelters are strongly committed to animal welfare and often organize volunteer work and their work certainly makes a difference in the world. Some of them have limited space and it is difficult to send away poor animals in need of medical care and temporary shelter. According to the Humane Society of the United States, about 70 million stray animals live on the streets, and of that number, up to eight million dogs and cats enter the 3,500 available shelters alone.

Some people don’t care if there is space or not they just leave a basket full of puppies in front of the door tied up at the top so they can’t escape which makes breathing very difficult and they don’t talk about the temperature outside.

The Paws and Hooves Rescue Foundation in Stillwell, Oklahoma, you can bet what they will find in the pink container they found on the front door of the building this morning. You expected it well, puppies. When rescuers removed the lid from the container, the young puppies gasped and stuck their necks out to get a breath of fresh air. The young puppies clearly needed medical attention and after the vets examined them, some were on the brink of death from oxygen starvation and dehydration.

Fortunately, the caretakers really tried to help them as best they could and with a lot of love and care they were able to save them all. It’s sad to hear that there are heartless people out there who let you down in such a ruthless way. A bunch of cute girls have been taken to their temporary homes and we hope someone comes to give them a forever home.

When pets are left they feel disoriented and have a very big emotional impact on them as they are essentially removed from the only packaging they have ever known and loved which can manifest serious health changes as a result of behavioral changes. Animals can feel similar emotions such as fear, pain and abandonment, never forget their first owner and even feel fear. Remember you can always ask before giving a pet away. Ask a friend, a non-destructible shelter, talk to your family. There are so many options to choose from, don’t take the first and easiest option, it will eventually become illegal too. All dogs deserve love.
